Are you tired of having hard water stains covering your windows, shower door, and mirrors? Well, I know it’s super annoying especially when you have no idea how to remove the stains. You just end up rinsing the surface which doesn’t help at all and at the end, you are still left with hard water stains all over the surface. Thankfully, there is an easy DIY method you can use to get rid of those hard water stains – and the best part is that this method is super cheap! It works really well and you just need one ingredient!

Here Is How To Remove Hard Water Stains From Glass!

The ingredient you need in order to get rid of hard water stains is coconut oil. I know that it sounds super weird, however, it does work super well and in my opinion, there is nothing else out there that can get rid of these stains as easily as coconut oil.

So the first thing you need to do is melt the coconut oil – I usually melt half a cup of it. You can also add a few drops of lemon essential oil as well as peppermint oil. They also work well in dissolving hard water stains, however, they aren’t necessary. If you want to use them or you have a few bottles lying around in your home then feel free to add 10 drops of each to the coconut oil

Then grab paper towels or microfiber cloth and dip it in the melted oil. And then just wipe the window, mirror, or shower door with it using a circular motion.

You will start to notice that the glass is covered in smudges due to the coconut oil – but don’t panic, it’s part of the process and we will remove the smudges in no time! Just dip paper towels or a clean cloth in water and buff it out.

And finally, I recommend you clean the glass surface with my favourite DIY glass cleaner – mix equal parts of white vinegar and water in a spray bottle then spray all over the glass surface and wipe with a cloth.

And just like that, all hard water stains are completely removed!
